Litchfield Park resident Clint Hickman is ushering in the new district four representative on the Maricopa County Board of Supervisors after more than a decade of service.
Hickman was appointed to the Board on March 21, 2013, and was retained by voters in 2016 and re-elected in 2020. He represented District 4, which includes parts of the West Valley, an area he has long called home.
“It has been my honor and privilege to serve as your supervisor,” Hickman said in a statement. “I hope I’ve left the County in a better place than I found it.”
Throughout his time in office, Hickman focused on fiscal responsibility, economic development, and community well-being. Under his leadership, Maricopa County reduced property taxes for four consecutive years and lowered overall spending by 11% in 2023, while investing in public safety, affordable housing, and workforce development.
Hickman served in various community roles, including as Honorary Commander of the 69th Fighter Squadron at Luke Air Force Base and as a member of the Arizona and Maricopa County Farm Bureau. He also contributed to the Maricopa Association of Governments Transportation Policy Committee.
In his final year, he led a coordinated response to the fentanyl crisis, working with county agencies and law enforcement to address the epidemic and provide resources for affected families.
"All the successes and accomplishments during my time as a county supervisor would not be possible without the support and skill of my colleagues, county leadership, and staff," said Hickman. "They are true public servants, and I will be forever grateful for their work to make Maricopa County one of the best-run and most innovative governments in the United States."
Hickman will remain in office until his successor Debbie Lesko takes his position in January.
