West Valley Mavericks launch specialty license plates

Posted

The West Valley Mavericks Foundation has officially launched its new specialty Arizona license plate, establishing a mobile fundraising stream to support regional community programs, veterans, and youth development.

The plate's public availability marks the final implementation phase of Senate Bill 1311, which successfully passed through the Arizona Legislature. Sponsored by State Sen. Frank Carroll (R-District 28), the statutory measure established the West Valley Charity Specialty Fund, directing subsequent revenues to qualified regional organizations with a documented history of structured grant making.

The state’s specialty plate program currently manages more than 100 distinct graphic plates, each requiring formal legislative authorization and a baseline $32,000 private production deposit before entering manufacturing.

Under the newly active program, the West Valley Charity specialty plate is available to vehicle owners statewide for an annual fee of $25. From each transaction, $17 is routed directly to the Litchfield Park-based West Valley Mavericks Foundation to bolster its annual charitable distribution cycle.

Founded in 2013, the foundation manages a network of business and civic leaders who allocate financial grants to localized operations specializing in education, health services, and veteran welfare.

Arizona motorists can review design configurations and purchase the new charitable plates through the Arizona Department of Transportation's Motor Vehicle Division portal, while complete legislative histories remain accessible at azleg.gov.
