Sen. Ruben Gallego to address at coming Chamber event

Posted

U.S. Sen. Ruben Gallego will speak at a public event hosted by the West Valley Regional Chamber on Wednesday, Aug. 13, offering updates from Washington and insights on issues affecting Arizona’s economy and business community.

The event will take place from noon to 1 p.m. at Estrella Mountain Community College, 3000 N. Dysart Road in Avondale. Attendance is free for chamber members and $25 for non-members.

Gallego, who was elected to the U.S. Senate in November 2024 and sworn in this January, is expected to discuss a wide range of topics including Arizona’s water supply, veterans’ issues, and support for working families. His recent press statements and legislative activity have touched on child care affordability, military spouse employment, extreme heat as a national disaster, and protections for rural and tribal media.

“We’re excited to welcome Senator Ruben Gallego to the West Valley,” the chamber said in its event announcement. “This is a special opportunity to hear directly from Arizona’s own U.S. Senator as he shares updates and insights on key issues impacting our state and business community.”

Recent headlines from Gallego’s office include efforts to pressure the Department of Justice to release documents related to Jeffrey Epstein, protect military families from financial abuse, and hold companies accountable on issues from AI-driven airline pricing to labor protections during extreme heat.

Registration for the Aug. 13 event is available through westvalleyregional.org.
