Patriot All-America golf event returns to Litchfield Park

The Patriot All-America Invitational golf tournament will return to the Wigwam Golf Resort in late December, bringing together top amateur and collegiate golfers for a 54-hole stroke-play championship that also incorporates military recognition activities.

The annual event features players from NCAA Division I and II programs and other eligible amateur categories. In addition to competition, golfers participate in an opening ceremony in which each receives a commemorative PING golf bag bearing the name and branch of a fallen or wounded service member. The bags are carried throughout the tournament and later auctioned, with proceeds benefiting the Folds of Honor Foundation, which provides educational scholarships to families of fallen or disabled service members.

Tournament participants also have the opportunity to visit Luke Air Force Base, where they meet with base leadership, pilots and crew members, and tour facilities associated with F-35 fighter pilot training.

The tournament week includes ancillary events organized by the West Valley Mavericks. On Dec. 27, a concert featuring Marc Martel,  is scheduled on the Wigwam Resort’s front lawn. Additional programming during the week typically includes live music, hospitality areas and community events.

In previous years, the tournament has expanded its recognition to include fallen police officers and firefighters. During the 2023 event, Phoenix Police Officer David Glasser was honored through a commemorative golf bag carried by an Arizona State University golfer. Law enforcement and military officials attended opening ceremonies and related activities.

The event also includes a Salute to Service tent offering complimentary access for active-duty military members and veterans, as well as a Veterans Village providing resources related to education, employment and mental health. Proceeds from ticket sales, concessions and merchandise support the West Valley Mavericks Foundation and other local charities.
