Donna Davis, a resident of Litchfield Park, has been elected secretary of the Maricopa Community College District Governing Board.
The secretary is one of the board’s officer positions and helps maintain official records of board actions, including meeting minutes, votes and policy decisions, while ensuring proceedings follow public meeting laws.
“I’m honored by the trust my fellow board members have placed in me, and I accept this responsibility with a focus on ensuring our community colleges remain high-quality, affordable and accessible,” Davis said.
Davis represents District 4 on the board, which includes West Valley communities such as Litchfield Park. Glendale Community College and Estrella Mountain Community College are located in the district.
She works as senior community impact manager at Education Forward Arizona and serves on the Arizona Governor's Commission on Service and Volunteerism.
The Maricopa Community College District serves more than 140,000 students each year.
