Litchfield Park golf tournament scheduled to support Make-A-Wish

Posted

The West Valley Mavericks Foundation will host the Maverick Charity Golf Experience on Friday, May 15 at the Wigwam Golf Club, with proceeds benefiting Make-A-Wish Arizona.

The event is intended to raise funds to help grant wishes for children in the West Valley who have critical illnesses. Registration for golfers and dinner attendees is open.

The tournament will begin with check-in at 11 a.m. and a shotgun tee-off at 12:30 p.m. A happy hour is scheduled for 5 p.m., followed by a “Dinner on the Green,” live and silent auctions, and evening activities from 6 to 10 p.m.

Participants may play on one of three courses at the Wigwam resort: the Gold Course, which will host a traditional scramble format; the Red Course, which organizers describe as a more festive round with music and on-course activities; and the Blue Course, which offers a mix of competitive and casual play. The event includes lunch, tournament apparel, golf for 18 holes, and beverages and snacks during play.

Evening programming will include dinner, an open bar and fundraising auctions. Organizers say the event aims to bring together community members, businesses and donors to support the mission of Make-A-Wish Arizona, which grants wishes to children with critical illnesses.

Participation options include foursome team registrations, individual golfer entries and dinner-only tickets for the evening program.
