Goodyear to host printmaking class for teens and adults

The Goodyear Arts and Culture Commission is partnering with Catitude Arts to offer a mini printmaking class beginning April 23 at the Goodyear Recreation Center, 420 S. Estrella Parkway.

The class, open to participants ages 15 and older, will be held Thursdays from 6 to 8 p.m. through April 30 in the facility’s multipurpose room.

Participants will learn basic printmaking techniques, including designing and carving a custom stamp using a small carving block. The workshop will also cover methods for transferring designs onto paper using provided materials.

Organizers said the class is designed to introduce attendees to printmaking in a community setting, with projects ranging from simple symbols to more detailed patterns.
