Goodyear starts holiday giving campaign

Posted

The city of Goodyear’s annual Fill-A-Need program is preparing to assist families in need this holiday season, with applications and referrals due by Friday, Nov. 8.

This initiative, coordinated by city employees and supported by local businesses, schools, non-profit organizations, and residents, seeks to provide essential items to families experiencing difficulties.

Each fall, referrals for families in need are gathered from various sources, including schools, neighbors, and public safety officials. The program focuses on providing children with items that parents may be unable to supply, such as clothing, school supplies, and toys. Food and essential household items, including toiletries and cleaning supplies, are distributed.

Goodyear residents can apply for assistance by filling out an application, which is available online or at City Hall.

Community members, businesses, and civic organizations are invited to contribute by donating items such as wrapping paper, supplies, and monetary contributions. These donations will be used to purchase gifts and necessities for families. Community members can also adopt a family by providing selected items tailored to their needs.

Donations can be dropped off at the City Hall lobby, 1900 N Civic Square.
