Goodyear site sold for industrial development

Posted

A 53.1-acre land sale in Goodyear is expected to support future industrial development in the city’s logistics corridor. Buyers ViaWest Group state the sale reflects continued demand for distribution space in the West Valley.

The buyer plans to seek entitlements for industrial use and market the property for build-to-suit projects.

The surrounding area includes facilities operated by companies such as Amazon, UPS, REI and Dick's Sporting Goods.

ViaWest said potential development on the site could include buildings ranging from about 75,000 to 850,000 square feet. The company is evaluating multiple configurations, including up to four buildings totaling about 900,000 square feet.

Following the entitlement process, the firm said it may pursue development, sell the land to an end user or enter a joint venture.
