Goodyear celebrates National Small Business Week

The city of Goodyear is celebrating National Small Business Week by hosting a West Valley Youth Entrepreneurship Fair. 

From 10 a.m. to noon Claire Bruns, manager of Goodyear’s InnovationHub and the Arizona State University Edson Entrepreneurship and Innovation Institute are welcoming community members into Goodyear City Hall, 900 N. Civic Square, for activities and resources for youth entrepreneurs. 

“We’re proud to celebrate small businesses this week and recognize the hard work our local entrepreneurs are doing,” said Bruns.  “This interactive event is designed to inspire the next generation of innovators.”

The event offers opportunities to learn about starting and growing a business, free food trucks and a pitch competition with a chance to win $500 in seed funding.

“Together, we’re building a stronger future by supporting the entrepreneurs that drive our local economy,” said Bruns.
