A new 408-unit apartment complex is preparing to open its doors in Goodyear with a festive celebration inJune.

Origin, a multifamily housing development by 29th Street Development, will host its grand opening on Thursday, June 5, with a themed event dubbed “Hawaiian Luau in the Desert.” The celebration is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. at the apartment community’s site, 17445 W. Lower Buckeye Road.

The event will include coastal-inspired food, cocktails and live entertainment, aiming to blend tropical and Southwestern elements. Organizers said local partners, stakeholders and residents are invited to attend. Hawaiian themed attire is encouraged, and guests are asked to RSVP by May 23.

“This is more than just a ribbon-cutting—it’s a celebration of what Origin stands for: new beginnings, connection, and community,” said John Kitson, executive vice president of development at 29th Street.

The Origin community features one-, two-, and three-bedroom apartments, along with resort-style amenities. According to the developer, the complex is designed to offer upscale living with convenient access to major employers and outdoor recreation in Goodyear, a growing suburb in the Phoenix metro area.

The property is managed by 29th Street Living. More information is available at origingoodyear.com.
