West Valley entrepreneurs have until Nov. 2 to apply for business pitch competitions at West Valley Innovation and Venture Night in Goodyear.

The free event is scheduled for 5 to 8 p.m. Nov. 17 at Goodyear City Hall, 1900 N. Civic Square. There is no fee to enter either competition.

Participants ages 18 and younger will compete for $1,500 in seed funding, while those ages 19 and older will compete for up to $5,000.

The event is a collaboration between Arizona State University’s J. Orin Edson Entrepreneurship + Innovation Institute and the city of Goodyear InnovationHub.

Along with live pitch competitions, the evening will feature entrepreneur showcase tables, information on business resources, family activities and food trucks. Community members can attend without competing.

Applications are available through the youth competition page and adult competition page. Attendees can register through ASU’s event page.
