Gervonni Cares to host household supply distribution in Goodyear

Non-profit organization Gervonni Cares, Inc. will host a community supply distribution event this Saturday to provide household goods and resource information to local families.

The West Valley Community Essentials Day is scheduled for Saturday, June 27, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Tumbleweed Club, located at 13210 W. Van Buren St., Suite 112. The indoor event will run until the designated time or until supplies are exhausted.

The distribution is open exclusively to residents of Goodyear, Avondale, Litchfield Park and Tolleson. To receive goods, attendees must check in at the entrance and provide proof of residency, such as a utility bill issued within the last 30 days. Tickets will be distributed at check-in, with a set limit on items permitted per household.

Available inventory includes mattresses, apparel, general household essentials, hygiene products and infant supplies. The distribution is supported by several regional corporate and non-profit sponsors, including the Walmart Distribution Center in Buckeye, the Walmart store in Litchfield Park and Stardust Non-Profit Building Supplies.

Gervonni Cares, which operates regular regional assistance initiatives like financial literacy classes and a monthly community food box program, is currently seeking local volunteers to assist with the event. Operational tasks include pre-event setup, attendee check-in support, and post-event breakdown.
