A large donation of diapers and hygiene products will soon help Arizona families in need, following a 22-pallet contribution from the America First Charitable Foundation to the Arizona Diaper Bank.
The donation, which includes diapers, period products, and incontinence supplies, is scheduled for delivery to the organization's Phoenix warehouse on Thursday, Oct. 2. Volunteers from both America First Credit Union and the diaper bank plan to distribute the supplies directly to local families that same day.
Families experiencing diaper or hygiene insecurity can attend the distribution event at 405 N. 75th Avenue, Suite 168, Building 3, in Phoenix. Supplies will be given out on a first-come, first-served basis while inventory lasts.
“Partners like America First make it possible for us to meet the urgent health and dignity needs of thousands of Arizona families,” Ginger Clayton, board president of the Arizona Diaper Bank, said in a statement. “This donation represents hope, relief, and stability for parents, children, and seniors who would otherwise go without.”
The donation coincides with the upcoming opening of a new America First Credit Union branch in Goodyear. A ribbon-cutting event is planned for 8 a.m. Friday, Oct. 3, at 15725 W. McDowell Road. Representatives from the credit union and the diaper bank are expected to attend.
