Ballet Arizona’s annual Ballet Under the Stars performance will return to Estrella Lakeside Amphitheater, 10300 Estrella Parkway, on Friday, Sept. 25.
The free performance begins at 7 p.m. Free parking will also be available nearby and attendees may bring chairs, blankets and picnic food.
The program will feature excerpts from classical and contemporary works, including Lar Lubovitch’s “Concerto Six Twenty-Two,” Act 2 of Ib Andersen’s “Romeo & Juliet,” and Act 3 of “Don Quixote,” with choreography by Ballet Arizona Artistic Director Daniela Cardim.
“Ballet Under the Stars is a long-standing tradition and a special way we begin our season at Ballet Arizona,” Cardim said. “ There’s something extraordinary about seeing this art form under the stars, surrounded by your community.”
Students from Westar Elementary School will also perform through Ballet Arizona’s tuition-free Class Act program.
