Ashley Shaw, a 16-year-old amateur golfer from Litchfield Park, won the girls’ division at the Palm Springs stop of the UNDERRATED Golf Tour, securing a place in the 2025 Curry Cup this September in New Jersey.
Shaw shot six under par through two rounds to secure the win for the girls division.
Shaw was the inaugural Curry Cup champion and has twice represented the United States in UNDERRATED Golf’s European tournaments. She also made her LPGA Tour debut in May 2024 at the Cognizant Founders Cup in New Jersey.
The UNDERRATED Golf Tour, founded by NBA player Stephen Curry, is now in its fourth season. It aims to increase access to the sport for student-athletes from underrepresented communities. According to the organization, more than 30 participants have received college golf scholarships, and one alumnus has turned professional.
“With the continued support of KPMG, we are creating lasting opportunities that extend well beyond the golf course,” Curry said in a March 2025 statement announcing the tour schedule. “We’re excited to bring the Curry Cup to the Liberty National Golf Club this fall.”
The 2025 Curry Cup will take place Sept. 10–12 at Liberty National Golf Club in Jersey City, N.J., featuring top players from each U.S. tour stop as well as international participants.
