Wildlife World Zoo launches highland cow encounters

The Wildlife World Zoo has introduced a new weekend interactive program allowing visitors to get up close with its newest residents, three mini Highland cow calves.

The "Mini Mornings" encounter runs Saturdays and Sundays throughout July and August from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. Tickets are priced at $129 for adults and $69 for children ages 3 to 12.

The ticket price includes a buy-one-get-one zoo admission deal, giving participants full entry to the zoo on the day of their encounter they get to meet, cuddle and take pictures with the cows and get an additional ticket for a future visit. The morning sessions also feature themed food items and mini mimosas.

Mini Highlands share the same genetic lineage as standard Scottish Highland cattle keeping the characteristic shaggy double coat and curved horns, but are selectively bred over generations to remain at a much smaller size.
