A West Valley culinary event aimed at raising money for scholarships and workforce programs will bring together dozens of local restaurants and community leaders this spring.
“The Taste,” presented by the West Valley Regional Chamber in partnership with the Maricopa Community College Foundation and Estrella Mountain Community College, will serve as a fundraiser supporting specialized programming and student scholarships.
The 18-and-over event will feature more than 30 restaurants from Avondale, Goodyear, Tolleson, Litchfield Park, El Mirage and Surprise, as well as others from the greater Phoenix area, highlighting the region’s growing and diverse dining scene.
Organizers say attendees can expect food tastings, live music and networking opportunities in an elevated setting designed to connect business professionals, community leaders and food enthusiasts.
Participating vendors include a mix of local establishments and national brands such as Dave’s Hot Chicken, Portillo’s, Shake Shack, Whataburger and Nothing Bundt Cakes, along with Karen’s Kreamery, Bebe’s Caribbean Cuisine and Jon Jon’s BBQ of Arizona.
Tickets start at $55 and include access to tastings, live entertainment and community networking.
“The Taste” will be held from 6 to 9p.m. on Friday, April 17 at Estrella Mountain Community College, 3000 N Dysart Rd in Avondale.
