The West Valley Mavericks Foundation will host its Maverick Charity Golf Experience on May 15 at Wigwam Golf Club, with proceeds supporting Make-A-Wish Arizona’s West Valley Wish Fund.
Organizers said the event will include a golf tournament played across three courses, followed by a dinner and live auction program. Professional auctioneer Nick Di Nieri is scheduled to lead the evening auction.
The fundraiser will also feature a raffle with prizes including a custom TEKO golf cart, two electric bikes and a trip to the NBA Summer League in Las Vegas. Participants do not need to be present to win, according to organizers.
The foundation said registration remains open for golfers and dinner attendees, with limited foursome spots still available.
Proceeds from the event will benefit Make-A-Wish Arizona, which grants wishes to children with critical illnesses. The foundation said it previously raised more than $100,000 at the organization’s Wish Ball, helping fund 10 wishes for children in the West Valley.
Organizers said the golf event is part of ongoing efforts to increase funding and expand the number of wishes granted in the region.
