Run for Beer returns to the Southwest Valley

Saddle Mountain Brewing Co. will host the return of the Run for Beer 5K, combining a community run with craft beer and live music.

The untimed 5K is scheduled for Sunday, Jan. 25, and is part of the Arizona Brewery Running Series, a statewide program that organizes fun-run events at local breweries.

The course will start and end at Saddle Mountain Brewing Co., 15651 W. Roosevelt St.

Check-in will take place 10-10:45 a.m., with the run beginning at 11 a.m. Organizers said the event is open to runners, joggers and walkers of all paces, as well as spectators. Roads along the course will remain open to traffic, and participants are expected to follow traffic laws.

Each registered participant will receive a token for a free beer at the finish line, along with a collector pint glass or series swag item. Live music will be provided and food and additional beverages will be available for purchase.
