Reyes joins Arizona Caregiver Coalition board

Posted

Goodyear resident Erica Reyes, senior director of health and wellness at Foundation for Senior Living, has joined the board of directors for the Arizona Caregiver Coalition, a statewide organization that advocates for family caregivers.

“We are thrilled to have Erica Reyes join the Arizona Caregiver Coalition’s Board of Directors,” stated Kathrine Steele-Watson, Executive Director of the ACC. “Erica brings incredible dedication and passion for serving family caregivers and advancing advocacy efforts across Arizona. FSL has been a long-standing community partner with ACC, and we are delighted to continue our collaboration to support and empower family caregivers.”

Reyes, a registered nurse with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, has worked on issues related to health, food security, and housing that affect older adults and their caregivers. She joined FSL in 2020 and currently oversees four community-based programs that serve more than 5,000 seniors and their families annually.

In addition to her work at FSL, Reyes is a planning committee lead for the 2025-2028 Arizona Family Caregiver Action Plan, a joint initiative between the ACC, FSL, and other partners. The plan addresses the challenges faced by family caregivers by improving access to services, outreach, education, and training.

Reyes was a finalist for the Phoenix Business Journal’s Healthcare Heroes Awards in 2023 in the nursing category. She has shared her expertise on topics such as the nursing shortage, caregiver risk factors, and the role of adult day health services.
