Rack Room Shoes opens new Goodyear store

 National footwear retailer Rack Room Shoes has opened a new store at Canyon Trails Towne Center, adding another option for shoppers in the growing West Valley.

The 8,000-square-foot store carries footwear for women, men and children. A grand opening event is scheduled for Sept. 6 at 10 a.m. The first 50 people in line will receive gift bags and be entered into a drawing for gift cards, according to the company.

“This opening marks another milestone in Rack Room Shoes’ strategic growth plan, as the company continues to expand its presence as a trusted footwear destination for communities nationwide,” Rack Room Shoes said in a statement.

The store includes several environmentally focused features, including LED lighting, automated controls and polished concrete floors intended to reduce the need for new materials, the company said.

Rack Room Shoes operates more than 520 stores across the United States under the Rack Room Shoes and Off Broadway Shoe Warehouse brands.

The Goodyear store is at 725 S. Cotton Lane and is open Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
