Litchfield foundation opens 2026 scholarship applications

The Litchfield Elementary School District Educational Foundation is accepting applications for its 2026 Litchfield Learner Scholarships, which provide financial assistance to former district students pursuing post-secondary education.

The foundation is an independent nonprofit that works in coordination with the Litchfield Elementary School District, which serves more than 10,000 students across 16 schools in Avondale, Buckeye, Goodyear and Litchfield Park.

Several  $1,000 scholarships will be awarded and may be used for tuition or educational expenses at four-year universities, community colleges or career and technical education programs.

Eligible applicants are Arizona high school seniors in the class of 2026 who were promoted from eighth grade at a Litchfield Elementary School District school. Recipients will be announced in late April and recognized at the district’s Pride Awards Reception in May.

Applications must be submitted by 8 p.m. Monday, March 16.

Applicants are required to submit academic information, an essay addressing their educational experiences, a letter of recommendation from a current or former teacher, and an unofficial transcript.
