The City of Goodyear's InnovationHub is histing aspiring entrepreneurs at a free workshop aimed at providing valuable insights into franchising and small business ownership on Tuesday, Nov. 12.
"Franchising 101: Your Path to Business Ownership," will be hosted at InnovationHub, located on the second floor of the Georgia T. Lord Library.
This event is designed to offer participants the knowledge and tools necessary to make informed decisions when considering franchise opportunities. The workshop will cover key topics for individuals looking to transition into franchise ownership or expand an existing business.
Attendees will learn how to select the right franchise, identify common challenges new franchisees face, and understand the essential qualities of a successful franchisee. Whether participants are exploring franchise ownership as an alternative to traditional employment or looking to scale an existing business, this session provides important information for navigating the franchising process.
Guest speakers Heidi Klastow and Lane Klastow, franchise consultants with over 30 years of combined experience, will lead the presentation. As the owners of two successful franchises, the Klastows will share insights based on their own experiences, offering practical advice on how to approach the franchise selection process.
The session aims to help attendees avoid common mistakes and gain a clearer understanding of the steps involved in becoming a franchisee.
The evening will begin at 5:30 p.m. with a welcome and introductions, followed by the guest speaker presentation from 5:45 to 6:30 p.m. Afterward, attendees will have the opportunity to network with other entrepreneurs and business owners from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.
The workshop will take place at InnovationHub, a community-driven space offering resources for entrepreneurs and small business owners.
InnovationHub provides access to a variety of services, including one-on-one business mentoring, workshops, webinars, and an open workspace for individuals to collaborate and develop their ideas. Entrepreneurs can also reserve private conference rooms for meetings and consultations.
