Goodyear InnovationHub hosts business workshop series

The Goodyear InnovationHub iopened enrollment for a free four-part workshop series, "Business Basics," this fall for aspiring entrepreneurs and small business owners.

The course, formerly known as Small Business Startup School, is designed to help participants transition a business idea into a concrete plan.

The workshop series will be held at the InnovationHub at Civic Square, 1900 N. Civic Square. It will cover essential topics for launching, managing and growing a business, including mindset, customer discovery, business structure, and funding. The sessions are scheduled for four consecutive Wednesdays from 5:30 to 7 p.m. in September.

The Goodyear InnovationHub iopened enrollment for a free four-part workshop series, "Business Basics," this fall for aspiring entrepreneurs and small business owners.

The course, formerly known as Small Business Startup School, is designed to help participants transition a business idea into a concrete plan.

The workshop series will be held at the InnovationHub at Civic Square, 1900 N. Civic Square. It will cover essential topics for launching, managing and growing a business, including mindset, customer discovery, business structure, and funding. The sessions are scheduled for four consecutive Wednesdays from 5:30 to 7 p.m. in September.

The schedule is as follows:

  • Sept. 3: Introduction to Business Basics, Entrepreneur Mindset, Mission and Vision.
  • Sept. 10.: Customer Discovery, Product and Market Fit and Establishing an Online Presence.
  • Sept. 17: Business Structure and Funding Options.
  • Sept. 24: Refining business plans and available resources for growth.

The InnovationHub, on the second floor of the Georgia T. Lord Library, is a space for inventors, entrepreneurs, and small businesses to collaborate and receive mentoring. In addition to the Business Basics course, it offers one-on-one business mentoring and various workshops and resources.

Attendees are expected to attend all four sessions.
