The Arizona Humane Society will host a mobile wellness clinic in Goodyear on Thursday, Sept. 25, providing low-cost veterinary services for local pets.
The clinic will be held at Puff & Fluff, located at 221 N Litchfield Rd in Goodyear, from 7:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Services available include wellness exams, vaccinations, flea and tick prevention, microchipping, and deworming. Vaccinations will be offered for $25 each, and microchipping will cost $25. Deworming services will be available for $12.
This mobile clinic is part of AHS’s initiative to expand affordable veterinary care throughout the state. In addition to the mobile clinic, AHS has introduced telemedicine services for pet owners across Arizona, allowing for remote consultations.
“By expanding access to care for more pets, we will not only be able to keep more families together but also help relieve the amount of pets being surrendered to shelters due to lack of veterinary care,” said Dr. Melissa Thompson, AHS Vice President of Animal Welfare and Medical Services.
AHS said the expansion of these services aims to provide more access to veterinary care and reduce barriers for pet owners, particularly those in remote areas or facing mobility issues.
Appointments are required, with a $25 deposit to secure a spot. Limited walk-in availability will also be offered on a first-come, first-served basis. To schedule an appointment, pet owners can visit www.azhumane.org/mobile-clinic.
