The city of Goodyear will celebrate Independence Day with a new twist this year, replacing traditional fireworks with a patriotic drone show during its Star Spangled Fourth event at Goodyear Ballpark.
The event will take place Friday, July 4, from 6 to 9 p.m., and will feature live music, food trucks, bounce houses, inflatable water slides, and other family-friendly activities. The drone show is scheduled to begin at 8:45 p.m. and will be visible only from inside the ballpark.
Admission, parking and activities are free. Event organizers encourage attendees to arrive early, as gates open at 6 p.m. and seating is limited. Trolley service will be available to shuttle attendees to and from the ballpark. Tailgating is not allowed in parking areas.
