Two athletes from the YMCA Silver Fins Diving Team in Goodyear have been selected by USA Diving to represent the United States at upcoming American Cup international competitions.
Silver Fins head coach Bill Hunter said the selections reflect the athletes’ training and dedication.
“Their work ethic, courage, and commitment to excellence continue to set them apart, and they are outstanding representatives of both our program and Team USA,” Hunter said.
Tanner Lange, 15, will compete in the Senior American Cup high dive on the 20-meter platform April 18-19 in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. The event is part of the World Aquatics Grand Prix series and is expected to draw competitors from multiple countries.
Lange began diving at age 9 with the Silver Fins and competed internationally for the first time at 12, according to the team. He is the reigning USA Diving junior national champion in the 14-16 age group in high dive.
Haskell Fagan, 11, was selected to compete in the Junior American Cup scheduled for May 21-24 in Mission Viejo, California. The junior competition is sanctioned by World Aquatics and features youth divers from several nations.
Fagan began diving at age 9 through the Silver Fins homeschool program. In 2025, he won an AAU national title and later earned podium finishes at a junior meet in Aachen, Germany, according to the team.
The 2026 American Cup will feature Olympic diving disciplines alongside 20 and 27 meter high diving. It will take place between April 16 and 19 in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
