Ballet Arizona’s “Ballet Under the Stars,” returns this fall with a free outdoor performance in Goodyear on Friday, Sept. 26, at Estrella Lakeside Amphitheater.
The annual series runs Sept. 18–27 and brings professional ballet to parks across the Valley. All performances begin at 7 p.m. and are open to the public at no cost.
This year’s program includes selections from “The Sleeping Beauty,” the contemporary piece “Take Me With You,” set to music by Radiohead, and two works by Artistic Director Daniela Cardim.
“This program offers Arizonans a unique chance to experience the enchantment of ballet under the night sky, surrounded by family and friends,” Cardim said.
The Goodyear event features a full professional stage, costumes, lighting, and local food trucks. Attendees are encouraged to bring blankets, lawn chairs, and picnic meals.
“Ballet Under the Stars” also includes student performances through Ballet Arizona’s Class Act program, which offers tuition-free dance instruction and choreography experience to Valley elementary students.
Additional performances will take place in Fountain Hills, Chandler, Peoria, Glendale, and Phoenix. For details, visit balletaz.org.
