First Watch opens new restaurant in downtown Goodyear

First Watch, a Florida-based breakfast and lunch restaurant chain, opened a new location Jan. 24 in downtown Goodyear near Bullard Avenue and McDowell Road.

The restaurant offers indoor and patio seating and serves breakfast, brunch and lunch items such as avocado toast, lemon ricotta pancakes and freshly brewed coffee.

First Watch joins several businesses that have recently opened or announced locations in the downtown area, including Trader Joe’s, Dave’s Hot Chicken, Over Easy and Banner Health. Additional restaurants and retailers are expected to open through 2027.

The restaurant operates under a daytime-only model, serving customers during morning and early afternoon hours. The company currently operates more than 600 locations across 32 states.

First Watch focuses on made-to-order meals and operates kitchens without deep fryers, microwaves or heat lamps, according to the company.
