Community college hosts an open house

 Estrella Mountain Community College will host its spring 2025 open house 4-6 p.m on Thursday, Jan. 9 at the Estrella Conference Center, at 3000 N. Dysart Road in Avondale.

The event is open to EMCC students, their families, friends, and advocates. The Open House is designed to help students and their support systems get acquainted with the college’s resources and services before the start of the semester. Attendees can network with faculty and staff, take self-guided campus tours, and learn about the support available for academic and personal success.

The event will feature:

  • Activities in biology labs
  • Visits with EMCC’s animal ambassadors
  • Information about student clubs, organizations, and resources
  • Opportunities to purchase books and supplies, get student IDs, and visit the financial aid office

Classes for the Spring 2025 semester begin Jan. 11 and run through May 9. Visit emcc.edu for more information.
