An upcoming art exhibition at the Georgia T. Lord Library will explore themes of identity and self-expression through a collection of creative works.
Titled “Alter Ego,” the exhibit is scheduled to run from March through June 30 and invites artists to interpret alternate versions of themselves through various forms, including abstract concepts, fictional personas and symbolic representations.
Organizers say the exhibition focuses on the contrast between outward appearance and internal experience, encouraging viewers to consider how identity can vary across different contexts.
An artist reception is planned for Thursday, April 23, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the library, where attendees can meet participating artists and learn more about their work.
The event is organized in part by the Goodyear Arts & Culture Commission. Library hours are Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., Friday and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Sunday from 1 to 5 p.m.
