Goodyear puts on event to teach Bookkeeping to business owners

Small business owners and aspiring entrepreneurs are invited to a free workshop focused on bookkeeping fundamentals. The Business Builders event, titled "Bookkeeping: A Necessary Evil," will be held Thursday, Jan. 30, from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at the InnovationHub in Goodyear.

The workshop will cover essential topics, including tracking expenses, invoicing customers, paying vendors, and managing cash flow. Attendees will also learn how to assess their business’s financial health and determine whether they can afford new investments or equipment.

Kim Proctor, a CPA with 30 years of experience in accounting and finance, will lead the session. Proctor, who has worked with both public corporations and small businesses, recently started her own company to help small businesses with their financial management.

The event is free and open to all. Participants will also have the opportunity to share their experiences and network with other small business owners.

The InnovationHub, located within the Georgia T. Lord Library, 1900 N. Civic Square, provides a collaborative space for entrepreneurs and offers services such as mentoring, workshops, webinars, and access to business resources.
