As part of the annual Meals of Joy gala with a local nonprofit serving seniors,  Kamal Charef, general manager of Avondale Toyota, will be given the 2024 Community Impact Award for his leadership and achievements in serving the senior community of Arizona.

The award will be presented Nov. 9 during the Meals of Joy annual gala, themed A Red-Carpet Affair. The reception will take place 5 -9 p.m. at the Tuscany Falls Ballroom in Goodyear.

“It is an honor this year to recognize Kamal Charef of Avondale Toyota for his outstanding contribution of his time to see that our community recognizes the value of our mission,” said Larry Ceravich, founder of Meals of Joy. “We are proud to have Kamal has a board member.”

For 10 years, Meals of Joy has provided and delivered homemade dishes across the West Valley to seniors. Offered five days a week, vulnerable seniors can live independently with food security and social interaction.
