In recognition of Heart Month, Abrazo Health will offer Angio Screen heart and stroke risk assessments on Feb. 25 at its Abrazo West Campus, 13677 W. McDowell Rd., in Goodyear.
The screening, priced at $59, provides individuals an opportunity to assess their heart health and identify potential risks for heart disease.
"February is the perfect time to embrace a healthier you because Heart Month can inspire every generation to work on maintaining or improving heart health," stated Dr. David Prutzman, interventional structural cardiologist with Abrazo Health.
The Angio Screen takes about 10 minutes and includes several assessments: a carotid ultrasound to check for artery blockages, an EKG exam for atrial fibrillation, a check for peripheral vascular disease, blood pressure testing, and a private consultation with a clinician.
“Potential artery blockages, atrial fibrillation and dangerously high blood pressure have been found in individuals during previous screening events,” said Cindy Roberts, RN and Abrazo Health outreach manager. “Every 30 seconds an American has a heart attack.”
Screening results can be shared with healthcare providers to discuss potential risks, but the screening does not replace regular checkups.
To register, call 844-721-4068 or visit AbrazoHealth.com/events.
