STEM Saturday to offer hands-on learning at HD South

HD South will host a STEM Saturday program from 1 to 2:30 p.m. Aug. 15 at the museum, 10 S. Gilbert Road in Gilbert.

The free event will feature hands-on science, technology, engineering and mathematics activities led by Karen Maas of Gilbert Classical Academy and student volunteers.

Participants will have the opportunity to explore projects involving 3D printing with pens and printers, computer-aided design using Tinkercad, Makey Makey technology applications and other STEM-focused activities.

Registration is required. Event registration closes at noon Aug. 14.
