Gilbert Public Schools advances K-6 English curriculum search

Gilbert Public Schools is moving closer to replacing its K-6 English language arts curriculum, with the governing board approving the next step in a selection process that has narrowed the field to two programs.

The board approved a request for proposal for the K-6 ELA curriculum adoption without opposition.

District officials said the change is necessary because the district must move away from its current ReadyGEN curriculum to meet Arizona requirements for reading curriculum.
