Gilbert will host a fishing clinic for teens from 5 to 7 p.m. Oct. 23 at the Riparian Preserve.
The program is designed to introduce participants to the basics of fishing, including how to assemble a fishing pole, cast and reel in fish. Attendees will receive a fishing pole, bait and instruction from town staff.
The clinic will take place at the Riparian Preserve, 2757 E. Guadalupe Road, Gilbert.
Organizers say the event is intended to provide teens with an opportunity to learn a new outdoor recreational activity in a guided setting.
