Higley Unified School District will continue requiring agendas and supporting materials to reach governing board members at least 24 hours before meetings after the board approved revisions to its policy on preparing and distributing meeting agendas.
The governing board approved the revised school board operational goals policy, BEDBA, at its Sept. 22 meeting after a lengthy discussion over how much supporting documentation should routinely accompany agenda items.
The revised policy states that the superintendent will prepare meeting agendas in consultation with the board president. Board members also may place items on an agenda by notifying the superintendent at least five working days before the meeting.
