The city of Surprise invited residents to give back during a special day of service meal-packing event with Meals of Hope and the Rotary Club of Surprise and Sun City West.

It happens from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Sept. 19, at OUAZ’s Faith Arena Lobby, 14470 W. Tierra Buena Lane.

The family-friendly event is open to people 14 and older. There are a variety of simple yet impactful volunteer roles, including pouring ingredients, sealing and labeling meal bags and boxing up completed meals.
