From quarterback to quarterfinalist, 10-year-old Zachary represents Surprise in an online competition for votes as he hopes to be named Youth Athlete of the Year.
He wants as many online votes as possible to advance to the semifinalists’ round before polling closes 8 p.m. (Pacific) Thursday Oct. 8. If he wins the Youth Athlete of the Year title, Zachary gets $25,000 and an opportunity to represent 3Brand in Sports Illustrated and on CBS. People can vote daily for free to support a charitable cause such as the Why Not You Foundation.
“His great-grandma is 87 and has been voting and sharing since day one. This contest has been a light in her life and puts a big smile on her face,” said his mother, Krysten Dobson.
