The city of Surprise will continue to provide animal control services to the city of El Mirage under a revised intergovernmenta agreement the Surprise City Council is expected to approve this week.
Surprise has been providing El Mirage with services such as animal-related response, patrol, enforcement and animal transport services.
The revised deal would extend the cities’ agreement for three more years. El Mirage can extend the agreement with written notification to Surprise by May 30 of each year.
