Lifelong Learning Club President Mary Jo Tietge and curricula chair Michael Powell have announced the Fall schedule of classes and field trips. Among the array of classes is one offered by the Tiege-Powell leadership team on Robin Wall Kimmerer’s book “Braiding Sweetgrass.”
Climate care and change continues to be a topic of interest to many, and themes of reciprocity and even gratitude feature in the book’s storytelling. Indigenous wisdom and scientific knowledge are referenced as the facilitators present this class from 10 a.m.-noon Wednesday, Nov. 4 at the Fairway Recreation Center, 10600 W. Peoria Ave.
