Accepted appliances:
• Refrigerators
• Stoves
• Microwaves
• Dishwashers
• Water heaters and coolers
• Small window air conditioning units
Document shredding: Bring up to three sturdy boxes per household, measuring 12 by 17 by 11.5 inches. Remove all paper clips and staples before arriving.
Please do not bring lithium batteries. These batteries can pose a big risk. Lithium batteries power everyday devices such as cellphones, tablets, power tools, cordless vacuums and rechargeable toys. When discarded improperly, they can spark dangerous fires in garbage trucks and recycling facilities. Those battteries can be disposed of safely through Peoria’s Household Hazardous Waste home pickup program.
