Eva Osuna will be the next Pine District representative for the Peoria City Council, bringing to her seat historical city roots that originated with her uncle’s service at the dais decades ago.
Johnny Osuna’s service on council spanned 17 years throughout the 1980s and 90s, and his namesake resides on Peoria’s historic gathering place downtown, Osuna Park.
Maricopa County’s most recent counts show Osuna has 63% with 3,399 votes, and her opponent Joysaphine Waitman-Powell has 37% with 2,007 votes, according to unofficial results.
