Something changed for this Sunrise Mountain girls volleyball team between the first and second day of the Rise N' Roar Classic at Millennium and the Mustangs havn't lost since.
Thursday night the Mustangs began the 5A playoffs with the easiest of their 10 straight wins, dismantling #10 seed Maricopa 25-15, 25-16, 25-18.
“Right before the Millennium tournament we started to find a groove and find a consistent lineup. We were trying to work through what was going to be the best fit for us,” Sunrise Mountain Coach Brandi Jans said. “We kind of stuck with what worked in some of the bigger matches, and just ran with it.”
