Chandler Pride annual event set for Saturday
Courtesy of Chandler Pride
Chandler's pride event isn't quite as large as Phoenix's, where this Chandler Fire Department truck was driven in this October parade, but there's a full slate of events for Saturday (Nov. 16) afternoon and evening at A.J. Chandler Park.
The nonprofit organization Chandler Pride is hosting 2024 Pride in Chandler, a celebration of the LGBTQ-plus community and allies, this Saturday, Nov. 16, 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. at A.J. Chandler Park in downtown Chandler.
This year’s event is billed as an inclusive celebration of love, diversity, and acceptance, with a variety of activities that highlight the strength and resilience of the LGBTQ-plus community.
Pride in Chandler will feature live performances, speeches, interactive art installations and a marketplace showcasing local LGBTQ-plus artists, vendors, and organizations.
A family-friendly atmosphere is promised, with something for everyone to enjoy.
The event will kick off with music, followed by performances by local drag artists, musicians and others, such as Patricia Silverberg and Cheer Arizona.
Pride in Chandler is free and open to all, with opportunities for attendees to learn about local LGBTQ-plus charities and advocacy organizations.
