Frybread festival in Chandler this Saturday

Wild Horse Pass' Rawhide in Chandler is debuting its first Indian Frybread & Arts Festival this Saturday, Nov. 16.
This celebration of Indigenous culture and community runs from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on the Sonoran Lawn. There all-Native lineup of musical acts, traditional Native dance performances, artwork by Native American artists and a frybread and chili cookoff competition.
The band lineup includes Casper & the Mighty 602 Band (Hopi/ Diné), One Way Sky (Tohono O’odham) and D Faktion Nyne (Tohono O’odham). Performances include Hoop, Fancy, Jingle, Grass and Traditional dances, plus an appearance from world champion hoop dancer Tony Duncan (Apache, Arikara and Hidasta).
In addition to all this and the food competitions, the event will feature multiple food vendors.
There's also a kids’ zone with inflatable rides at no extra charge.
Sonoran Lawn at Rawhide is at 5244 S. 48th St. at the southwestern edge of Chandler, off of I-10 and Wild Horse Pass Boulevard.
Indian Frybread & Arts Festival will be held Nov. 16 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
