‘Black Violin’ duo coming to Chandler in spring 2027

Posted

Classically trained musicians Wil Baptiste and Kev Marcus have built a signature sound around violin, viola, hip-hop beats and vocals.

The duo are coming to town for a 7:30 p.m. show Friday, April 9, 2027 at the Chandler Center for the Arts’ Steena Murray Mainstage.

Tickets recently went on sale to the general public.

As Black Violin, they bring those influences together in performances that combine all of those elements for a traveling concert that incorporates humor and is meant to bridge genres, cultures and generations.

The duo also aims to challenge stereotypes and encourage young people to think differently about what’s possible in music and beyond, according to a news release.

Tickets start at $43 for adults and $19 for youth and are available through chandlercenter.org, ticketmaster.com or at the CCA box office, 250 N. Arizona Ave., downtown Chandler.
