The Friends of Chandler Public Library announce the launch of the Season of Friendship Giving Campaign, which aims to fund innovative programs and resources for Chandler Public Libraries.

Celebrating the important work of the Friends, Season of Friendship invites those who wish to strengthen and support library services in Chandler to give a gift in support of literacy.

Friends of Chandler Public Library is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting the library through the tireless efforts of volunteers, and the generosity of individual and corporate donors.

The Friends support many library programs and resources available to the Chandler community, including STEAM and literacy programs, digital resources like LinkedIn Learning and so much more.

The Friends recently approved an investment of $240,000 in support of CPL, including $135,000 toward the CPL mobile outreach vehicle, which will serve the community in 2025 as the city’s fifth library branch.

Community members wishing to make a gift in support of literacy during this Season of Friendship may donate directly to the Friends of Chandler Public Library either online or in person at any of the four Chandler Library locations.

The community is invited to attend free programs available at CPL locations, many supported by the Friends of Chandler Public Library, such as these upcoming events:

  • Our Stories: Talking Code with a Secret Weapon – Navajo Code Talkers Speak
11 a.m. to noon Saturday, Nov. 9, Basha Library, 5990 S. Val Vista Drive
  • Recipe Swap: Side Dishes
    5 p.m. to 7 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 13, Sunset Library, 4930 W. Ray Road
  • Chandler for the Holidays Grab and Go: Winter Books & Crafts
    8 p.m. to 9 a.m. Friday, Dec. 6, all CPL locations
  • Stuffy Winter Sleepover
    3 p.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 12, Downtown Library, 22 S. Delaware St.
